Reverse Engineering Chronic Disease. 

 

Dr Max Gulhane is a practising family medicine MD and health-optimising physician with a passion for root-cause analysis of human chronic disease and longevity.

 

 Education

 

Max graduated the University of Melbourne as a Doctor of Medicine/Master of Public Health (MD/MPH) in 2018, having earned a Bachelor of Science (BSc. Hons, First Class) at the University of Queensland in 2013.

 

He worked clinically in general and emergency medicine before commencing General Practice (RACGP) training in 2023, receiving specialist general practice accreditation as a Fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners in 2026.

 

Current focus

 

Dr Max's current academic and clinical interests focus on photobiology, circadian rhythms and mitochondrial health in metabolic health, aging, and longevity. 

 

Clinically, he is focused on visceral fat identification and reversal through targeted strategies including circadian regulation, chrononutrition, nutritional ketosis and exercise. 

 

He is also passionate about food system decentralisation, regenerative farming and Nguni cattle as means of delivering robust supply of high quality human nutrition.

 

He explores these topics in depth on the Regenerative Health Podcast, interviewing world leading doctors, researchers and health practitioners.
